Jennifer Mallis, MSW, LCSW, QS
Jennifer has been working with children and families for over 30 thirty years wearing many different hats.
In 1996, Jennifer graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Child Sciences and worked as a preschool teacher for eight years in Florida and New York City.
When the childhood dream to become a therapist was too loud to ignore, Jennifer applied to New York University to pursue her Masters in Social Work, (MSW),and graduated in 2008.
After working in Harlem with foster children and their families for two years, she returned to Jacksonville, FL to raise her son. She has continued to work as a mental health therapist for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
Jennifer combines 19 years of meditation practice with predominantly Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic and/or Solutions Focused Therapy as needed with each client. She strives to genuinely help clients feel better by introducing and practicing mindfulness techniques together.
